Dr. Hoffman was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He attended Tulane University and earned his doctorate of medicine from Ponce School of Medicine. He underwent his training in Urology at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. Thereafter he completed a combined Urology/OBGYN fellowship in Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at New York University Langone Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital in New York.
His clinical and research interests include male and female urinary incontinence, urinary retention, pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, voiding dysfunction, urodynamics, urinary tract fistula, benign prostatic hyperplasia, sacral neuromodulation, mesh excision/revision, kidney stones, and urinary tract infection. He is proficient in vaginal reconstructive surgery, male and female urinary tract reconstruction, and all aspects of general urology.
